MY STORY
In the middle of my college education, I had a meltdown. I realized I didn't want to become a special education teacher. So I decided to make my choice and change my major to interior design.
While entering my new major and already having more than one year and a half of school under my belt, the prospect was daunting. The amount of perseverance required was hard to fathom at the start. I had to rely heavily on my creative thinking skills and time management skills to complete my projects.
As I move forward, new problems always arise. Mental fatigue was hard to battle, so I had to approach my work strategically. I was accountable for all of the work, so remaining organized to ensure I met every deadline was a must.
Ultimately, my hard work is paying off. I am now a Senior, and still passionate about learning interior design. This entire process taught me more about dedication and determination than nearly every other experience. It also showed me the benefits of hard work, as, while it was difficult, it was certainly a journey worth taking.
